Mothers Day May 9th

Mothers Day is quickly approaching. It is one week from Sunday and I think I have finally decided what to do for my mom! If you have ever spoken to me, you know that I love to cook. I have written two cookbooks but traded food recipe writing for hair care recipe writing. I have totally gotten out the swing of cooking, but with the wake of the "recession", cooking a Mothers Day dinner is sounding more and more likely to me!

We are a nation that thinks a gift has to be something expensive, bought from a store in a beautiful blue box! Now nothing is wrong with that, but I personally think, more thoughtful gifts are always loved more. Anyone can go spend money at the store for a gift, but to stand in your kitchen and cook a dinner, that has to come from the heart!!!

So...its settled! Mom will get Braised Lamb over a bed of Couscous with a Blanched Green-bean Salad. Sounds good to me! As a matter of fact, I think I just heard my tummy growl! Last time I made the Lamb about two years ago, it was a sensation! I will take pics and share them with you after Mothers Day!
